Cinnamon Sour Cream Quick Bread Recipe: Makes 1 large loaf or 2 small

Ingredients

  • 2 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Crumb mixture:

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 2 teaspoon cinnamon

Method

Sift together flour baking powder and salt; set aside. Mix together the sour cream and baking soda; set aside. Whip butter, adding sugar and eggs. Alternately add flour mixture and sour cream mixture. Fold in the vanilla. To make the topping. Mix together the brown sugar, chopped pecans and cinnamon. Pour half the batter into a greased bread pan. Sprinkle with half the crumb mixture. Pour remaining batter on top and sprinkle with the remaining crumb mixture. Bake in oven at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
