
Place a collinder over a bowl and drain the juice from the can of peaches. Keep 1/4 of a cup of the syrup from the canned peaches. Dice finely enough peaches to make 1 cup; set aside. In a blender add the remaining peaches, butter, eggs, the 1/4 cup of syrup and lemon juice. Blend until smooth. Place mixture in a large bowl and add flour,sugar, baking powder, salt. Mix slightly ( not to much ). Just till mixed. Fold in diced peaches and chopped nuts. Pour batter into a greased 8x4x2 loaf pan. Bake at 350 F. for about 1 hour. Cool in pan for 10 minutes. Then remove and cool on a wire rack.
