Easy Whole Wheat Bread Recipe: Makes 2 loaves

Ingredients

  • 2 cups unsifted whole wheat flour
  • 3 cups white flour
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 2 packages instant dry yeast
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 2 eggs, beaten

Method

In a saucepan combine the milk, honey and vinegar heat till warm. Pour into a bowl. Add in the eggs and mix together. Add in 2 cups of the flour and the yeast. Beat for 1 minute at a low speed and 3 minutes on medium speed. Slowly add the rest of the flour, blend to form a soft dough. Knead the dough for 4 minutes or until smooth and elastic. Cover dough and let rise till double 70- 80 minutes. Punch down dough. Divide in half. Shape dough into two loaves. Place into greased loaf pans. Cover and let rise again for 1 hour. Bake in 350 degree oven for 40-50 minutes. Remove from pans immediately, cool on a rack.
